Based in the heart of Manchester, KOBA is a fascinating new flexible office space provider. Their premium business model offers some of the most exclusive working environments available, with a unique focus on combining flexibility with sustainability.

And this green focus has been applied to the AV solutions that they have implemented.

KOBA x Efficiency x Solotech

Solotech has a history of integrating commercial AV solutions, but KOBA needed something altogether new.  In order to fulfil KOBA’s business mission, Solotech needed to focus on delivering the most energy efficient solutions that we could find.

Meeting Rooms

Poly All-In-One Video Bars were used throughout the meeting rooms. From the X30/X50 for smaller and mid sized rooms, up to X70 Studio with integrated dual cameras in the 18 seater board rooms.  These larger spaces also utilise the Shure MXA902 All-In-One ceiling mic and speaker.

The Town Hall Space

The open reception area doubles as a town hall space. Deployed here is a Yealink ZVCS90 system with two cameras (UVC86) – one for presenter tracking in the middle of the room, the other for audience tracking (this utilises auto tracking, and auto switching functionality).
The space also uses the Shure MXA920 ceiling mic and QSC AD-P6T pendant speakers (on their own channel). A Shure P300 Intellimix acts as the interface between the Yealink / Poly equipment.

Audio is provided using a QSC system with Pendant speakers (in the common areas) and surface mounted speakers in their ‘Oasis’. Audio is controlled by a Core 8 Flex and a custom GUI running on IOS. Amplification comes from the CX 4Q8, which allows multiple channels and zones, enabling separate volume control and inputs.
