London, UK, November 6, 2024 — Following a year in which it successfully delivered some of the most exciting projects in the industry, Solotech was named Integrator of the Year at the 2024 AV Awards. 

The judges were impressed by the flexibility and versatility shown by the Systems Integration team over the last twelve months and praised the variety of projects referenced in the submission.

In 2024, we successfully installed a full audio, video and teleconferencing system in multiple offices for one of our well-known corporate clients. During the same period, our team worked hand-in-hand to install fully integrated sound systems in two of the UK’s largest soccer stadiums during the off-season.

Montreal, Canada, May 2, 2024 — Solotech, a global leader in audiovisual and entertainment technology, is thrilled to announce a strategic collaboration with ROE Visual, with the purchase of over 5000 sq. meters of LED tiles, including 4,500 sq. meters of identical Carbon LED tiles, which is the largest single-batch of LED tiles ever recorded. This marks a monumental milestone for both companies: LED manufacturer, ROE Visual secures its most extensive ROE CB5 Mark II order to date, while Solotech becomes the industry’s leading LED video rental provider.

With the addition of such a large quantity of ROE CB5 Mark II LED display to our already substantial offering, the team at Solotech will continue to deliver the most spectacular projects on the global stage”, stated Mickey Curbishley, Solotech President, Live Productions Division, USA, UK.  

With 4,500 sq. meters of identical Carbon LED tiles, a unique offering due to the quantity as well as the ability to offer true color consistency, Solotech not only significantly enlarges its equipment inventory for client touring needs, it secures a premium position in the market and can deliver greater visual entertainment services for global artists and indoor or outdoor events in stadiums, festivals, or other venues; including for the music industry, sports, corporate, and culture.

Solotech contributes to Centraide of Greater Montreal’s 2022 campaign and garners Solidaires Mobilization award

Montreal, February 17, 2023 – Centraide of Greater Montreal recently announced that it has raised a record-breaking $65.3M during its 49th campaign in 2022. For their part, Solotech employees showed unparalleled solidarity through multiple fundraising events, with Solotech matching a portion of each individual contribution.

Thanks to the stellar results of this year’s Centraide campaign at Solotech, Centraide recognized the company as a major contributor, awarding it the Solidaires Mobilization prize. As a committed corporate citizen, Solotech also won the StartUp award for its Centraide campaign in 2018.

Solotech winner at the excellence in installation awards

Montreal, February 28, 2020 – Solotech recently won the Excellence in Installation Award for “Theatres/Performing Arts Venues-Video/Lighting” presented by Live Design. Announced on February 25th, the award recognizes Solotech for its extensive role in the major technology renovation at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, located in Las Vegas. Live Design’s Excellence Awards highlight and acknowledge the very best audiovisual and entertainment technology installation work in a range of venues, including theaters, arenas, stadiums, clubs, art venues and museums.

Solotech is honored to receive this recognition, an important indication that its expertise in audio, video and lighting has not gone unnoticed within the industry. As a global leader in systems integration and live productions, Solotech appreciated the trust in their expertise and experience afforded them by the Entertainment Division of Caesars Palace on this project.

The Colosseum relied on Solotech to deliver a 360° scope of work for the renovation while maintaining the iconic venue’s high standards of production excellence. Encompassing design, engineering, and installation of the audio, lighting and video technology upgrades; the ambitious plans posed a challenge that was successfully met, without compromising on quality, despite the short timeframe of only seven weeks.

Solotech ensured that The Colosseum’s production capabilities are state-of-the-art with a brand new audio system able to meet the exacting demands of any headlining performer. As well as simply one of the best video systems installed today, along with an extremely versatile lighting system to address the different needs of a range of entertainers.

Solotech Wins “A/V Production Company of the Year” at the 2019 Live Music Industry Awards

Montreal, May 14, 2019 – A world leader in audiovisual and entertainment technology, Montreal-based Solotech has been awarded “A/V Production Company of the Year” at the prestigious Live Music Industry Awards. Held at the Sheraton Centre Hotel in Toronto and hosted by musician Kim Stockwood, the 4th edition of the Live Music Industry Awards took place on Friday, May 10, as part of the 2019 Canadian Music Week (May 6-12), one of the country’s largest and most influential media and music conferences.

Created by Canadian Music Week in partnership with the International Festival Network (IFN) and Canadian Live Music Association, the Live Music Industry Awards honor outstanding festivals, venues, companies, productions and individuals from Canada’s live music business in 24 categories. This year’s ceremony was attended by 350 people and included performances from Lu Kala and Datsunn.

Founded in 1977, Solotech has collaborated with various Canadian artists over the years, including Michael Bublé, Céline Dion, Metric, July Talk and Véronic DiCaire. Solotech also ranks first in this month’s Pro Sound News Centerstage Chart, a rundown of the crews and gear on the top 10 highest-grossing tours of May 2019, for the current tour An Evening with Michael Bublé.
