The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated
Guarantee the safety of travel on its infrastructures
The Jacques-Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (the Corporation) is a federal Crown corporation established in 1978, responsible for Montreal’s iconic Jacques-Cartier and Champlain Bridges, and many others. The Corporation ensures that these critical structures remain safe, fully functional and confer an aesthetic that lasts over time.
A targeted solution for optimal surveillance
To ensure complete safety for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians on these bridges, the Sûreté du Québec police organization has set up permanent control centres located on-site. Solotech recently installed video cameras on the bridges and a video wall and operator work stations in the control centres.
Solotech equipment, managed within these two control centres, ensures efficient surveillance of the bridge and surrounding area 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
